Character Education Activities that Work for Elementary School

The aims of the curriculum to insert character values in Language Learning give an effort to do this research. This research then, aimed at developing  activities for language learning at primary school. The design of the study was exploratory design and the approach was mixed methods. In this study, three data were gained, namely students’ behavior, skills and English competencies. To collect those data, there were three instrument used, namely human instrument, field notes, and English achievement test. The impact of the implementation of the character based teaching activities showed that the students developed their cooperative, communication, critical thinking and problem solving, and creativity.  Moreover, the students showed that they were good planner, decision maker, leader, problem solver, and creator. Further, their English competencies were also improved.
