Developing Learning Materials Oriented to Discovery Learning with Puzzles for Fourth Graders of Elementary School

The purpose of this study is to produce a Learning Materials product using the Discovery Learning model with Puzzles Media. So in the results obtained a product that is feasible, practical, and effective for students of Class IV elementary school. This materials development model using Thiagarajan's 4-D (Four-D Model) model, Semmel & Semmel (1974) adopted from Ibrahim (2008). The development procedure consists of 3 stages: Definition (Define), Design (Design), Development (Develop). Based on the result of the research indicate that (1) The device is valid (87%) by validator (2) The implementation of learning is very practical (89%) (3) The significant difference in learning outcomes between classes using discovery learning learning tools and those not, with difference of 2.67 increase.
