Application of self-learning on basic teaching skills
The Basic teaching skill is a basic teaching skill trained to students who will follow the real practice in school. Basic teaching skill is as a subject matter for Field Experience Practice at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The purpose of this study is to apply the concept of Self-Learning in the practice of teaching in the class on a limited basis. The research method used is classroom action research with two action cycles (Cycle 1 and Cycle 2). Assessment of basic teaching skills before applying the average self-learning concept was obtained for each component of teaching skills with a score of 1-2.5 from the assessment scale 1-4. After applying the concept of Self-Learning obtained a score of 2.5-3. This shows that the concept of Self-Learning can improve the basic skills of teaching prospective teachers.
