The Effect of Cooperative Learning Models of Group Investigation Type on Activities And Student Learning Outcomes in Class VI of SDN 1 Laban Menganti Gresik

Abstract

IPS study result at SD Negeri 1 Laban Menganti Sub-district, Gresik Regency, still using lessons with conventional method which is more concerned with material (content oriented). The learning is characterized by teacher activeness (teacher centered). While the students only as a listener. Conventional learning methods are used, using existing cognitive methods, which have been very well attributed to student achievement. The researcher applies the Group Investigation learning model in the IPS lesson, because the subjects of Social Studies are Lessons that require an understanding of basic concepts to enable students to have good communication skills or in group processes (group process skills). This is what is done by grade 6 students of SD Negeri 1 Laban Menganti Sub- district, Gresik Regency, can be increased. The steps in this PTK are as follows: planning, action, and reflection. The subjects of this study were grade VI students with 24 students. The result of research: 1) The average score of the test before the implementation of the group research method was 63.69, and after applying the group research method to 69.13 in cycles I and 79, 13 on cycle II. 2) In the first cycle of learning completeness classically reaches 17.39% and in the second cycle to achieve mastery learning by classical as much as 82.61%. Thus the learning outcomes of students in cycles I and II already include indicators that have been established in the study that is at least 75% of all students who reached 75 or 75% completeness.
