Factors That Influence Learning Difficulties of Elementary School Students In The Special Region of Yogyakarta

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe factors of learning difficulties experienced by 2nd and 4th grade of elementary school students in Special Region Yogyakarta. This research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. The sample in this research is 389 teachers taken by random sampling technique. Data collection techniques are questionnaire and documentation. The result of the research shows the factors of learning difficulties in students are categorized into internal and external factors. Based on the results of the research, the internal factor which is most affecting the learning difficulties is students’ health. This is because students’ health will affect them in receiving learning materials such as eyes and ears health that will greatly interfering students when listening to teachers’ explanations, reading and listening. Based on the results of the research, external factor which is most affecting the learning difficulties is students’ harmonious relationships, such as students with students, students with teachers, students with parents, and students with the community It will make students feel comfortable, calm, and have a desire to learn.
