Developing learning multimedia for senior high school

Abstract

This study aims to produce adequate multimedia to improve social ability and assist students in understanding the sociology concept in senior high school. Research and development is designed. There are four stages in this research: 1) needs analysis, 2) planning, 3) design, and 4) development. Validation process by experts and users. The subject is 31 senior high school students 9 Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Assessment scores range from 1 to 5. The results are: good material aspect; Media aspect is very good; The learning aspect is very good. Assessment final product is very good and the eligibility categories to be used. The using to improve students' social ability in stage of reflection, mutualism, and social conventional. The understanding of sociology concept from 31 students, 26 students have reached mastery. The use of multimedia learning has a positive effect to improve social ability and understanding of sociology concepts.
