Implementation of art center to stimulate fine motor and social emotional development

Abstract

This study aimed to (1) describe implementation of art center in stimulating the development of fine motor and (2) describe implementation of art center in stimulating the development of Social Emotional in group A at Khadijah Kindergarten Wonokromo Surabaya. The research used qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects were group A (Al-Faatihah) at Khadijah Kindergarten Wonokromo Surabaya. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing/verification data. The results of this study indicate that (1) so far existing teachers Khadijah Kindergarten Wonokromo have tried to help children who have not shown good fine motor development, which is done by finding the cause, then the teachers provide knowledge about the cause-effect of activities (cutting, folded, and sewing) when done, consulting with parents, and then finding solutions to discussions with parents; (2) to develop aspects of social development in children is to provide appropriate stimulation according to child development, invite children to join and socialize with friends.
