Collaborative learning device development to improve social skills and learning outcomes in IPS subjects for elementary school students
This study aims to develop a feasible and effective tool. Feasibility can be seen from the validation results, effectiveness of the implementation, social skills, and student learning outcomes. Using the tools that have been developed, is expected to improve social skills and learning outcomes. The type of research is development research. The development model used is four-D Models. Methods of data collection include validity, observation, questionnaires and test results learning. Hypothesis test in this research is independent sample t test. The results showed that 1) the feasibility of categorized good and feasible devices, 2) the effectiveness of the tools of collaborative learning in the implementation of learning and social skills categorized very well. Based on the validity, observation, questionnaire and the result of t test analysis it can be concluded that the developed device is feasible and effective to improve social skills and learning outcomes for elementary school students.
