The development of mathematics teaching kit for eight grades of junior high school based on HOT Soriented

The implementation of curriculum 2013 which embraced the theory of constructivism is expected to improve the ability of students' critical and creative thinking. These abilities are included in higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). However, there are still some technical and non-technical obstacles in practicing. Among these problems, teachers are not accustomed to developing HOTS-oriented teaching kit and yet are also scarce. In the development of it, teachers should choose the real problems in daily life that are easily understood by students and provide many of these questions to train students to improve their level of thinking, as well as providing exercise of tasks that measure HOTS and teacher roles as facilitators in learning. The aim of this study is to research the study of literature that will synthesize the understanding of the high order thinking of several experts and how its development in learning mathematics
